THREE RAIDERS EARN PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
The spring sports accolades continue to roll in for the Roane State Raiders with a trio of student-athletes picking up TCCAA / Region 7 Player of The Week honors on March 25, 2025.
Sophomore Shelby Armstrong is the TCCAA Softball Player of the Week. She hit .500 at the plate for the softball squad, leading the team offensively. Armstrong's performance helped the Lady Raiders pick up three straight conference wins.
Armstrong reached base nine times in those three games as Roane State swept Southwest Tennessee and split the matchup with Dyersburg State. The Lady Raiders (16-13 overall, 9-3 in the conference) begin a stretch of eight home games on April 1.
Freshman golfer Raegan Corvette was named TCCAA Women's Golfer of the Week. She finished third in the Alice Lloyd College Spring Invitational held March 22 and 23. Corvette shot two rounds of 73 and 83 to lead the Lady Raiders in scoring. The women's team now sits at ninth in the national rankings after 14 rounds (25-13-1).
Freshman Tripp Hall was named TCCAA Men's Golfer of The Week. He picked up the overall victory at the Brad Rose Collegiate Tournament with rounds of 70 and 66. Hall's score sheet for that event led the team. The Raiders are currently ranked 15th nationally after nine events (22-5-0).
