RAIDERS HEAD INTO POSTSEASON PLAY
The Roane State Raiders basketball team wrapped up regular season play to start March, carrying an overall record of 18-9 into postseason play this weekend.
The Raiders enter the TCCAA tourney tied for 4th place in the conference standings with I-75 rival Chattanooga State Community College (16-9 overall, 11-7 in the conference). The two squads will square off Sunday, March 9, in Memphis in the 4/5 seed matchup.
The winner goes on to play on Monday, March 10, against the winner of the Columbia State game held Sunday at noon ET. Columbia State's opponent will be the winner of 8 seed Motlow State vs 9 seed Jackson State on Friday.
"The excitement heading into the tournament has been infectious, with our Raiders putting on incredible performances throughout the season," said David Lane, Roane State's director of athletics. "We couldn't be prouder of our student-athletes and coaching staff. I know all of us are eager to see them take the court in Memphis this weekend."
The Raiders split their season series with each potential opponent in the 2024-2025 season.
