In the opening round of TCCAA Region 7 tournament action on Sunday, Roane State Men's Basketball led all but the first five minutes against downstate rival Chattanooga State to secure a dominant win and move on.

The 96-76 win over Chattanooga State was fueled in large part by a 27-point outing from guard Jahiem Berry. Berry was on the floor for 40 minutes of game time, putting up 8 of 11 from the field (6 of 9 from beyond the arc).

Teammate Marcus Black put up 26 points through 35 minutes, going 7 of 10 from the free throw line, and 8 of 12 from the field (3 of 5 from three-point range).
