Bio

Roane State Community College has appointed Marty McDaniel as their new head softball coach. McDaniel brings over 20 years of collegiate coaching experience to the role, having achieved success at both the assistant and head coaching levels in NCAA Division II.

McDaniel began his career as an assistant pitching coach at the University of Tennessee and Georgia Tech University. During his time with both programs, he significantly improved their pitching performance.

Prior to his assistant coaching roles, McDaniel founded and led the softball program at Armstrong Atlantic State University. Under his leadership, the Pirates achieved four NCAA Regional appearances and won the Peach Belt Conference regular season championship in 2000. This success earned McDaniel the South Atlantic Region Coach of the Year award.

McDaniel's coaching experience also includes assistant coaching positions at Carson Newman College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His extensive experience and proven track record make him a valuable addition to the Roane State softball program.
