LADY RAIDERS TAKE DOWN LADY SALUQIS
Roane State Women's Basketball bounced back from its loss against Walters State last week with a victory over the Southwest Tennessee Lady Saluqis on February 1.
The highly competitive match saw Southwest outscore the Lady Raiders in the first period, then swap places to round out the first half.
Despite a valiant effort in the fourth period, when Southwest outscored Roane State 21-13, the Lady Raiders came out on top. The final score: 77-67.
Layla Bouldin led the Lady Raiders with a whopping 31 points scored. Jenna Bush put 17 on the board and Carly Hunt added 12 to the team total.
The stat sheet showed dominance on the Roane State side, with a free throw percentage of nearly 78%. The Lady Raiders also nabbed 34 rebounds and 20 assists with just 14 turnovers compared to Southwest's 24.
