CATER NAMED WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK BY TCCAA
Roane State's Georgia Cater was named the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) Region 7 Women's Golfer of the Week on Tuesday, February 25.
Cater's T5 finish in the Snead State Spring Invitational last week (February 17-18) propelled the Lady Raiders to a fourth place finish overall. The team scored 360 in round one and 376 in round two.
Hailing from London, England, Cater is Roane State's first international student-athlete on the women's golf team. She finished her freshman year as one of three players to earn Top 5 All-Region Honors and helped the Lady Raiders win their very first regional title.
Now in her sophomore year at Roane State, Cater is seeing continued success on the golf course as well as in the classroom. She earned a spot on the Dean's List for Fall 2024.
Up next, Cater and the Lady Raiders will play in the Jefferson State Spring Invitational in Gulf Shores, Alabama, starting March 3. The team's full schedule and scores are available at roanestate.edu/womensgolf.
