TCCAA OFFENSIVE VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: RSCC’S HALEY LEDFORD

Sophomore student-athlete Haley Ledford with Lady Raiders Volleyball has been selected as the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week.

The TCCAA announced its week one picks for volleyball on August 28, 2024. Ledford is joined by defensive player Megan Crocker from Chattanooga State.

Setter and Team Co-Captain Ledford is in her second year with the Lady Raiders. She was named one of two All-Tournament players following the E2 Sports Raider Classic recently hosted by Roane State.

Ledford helped the Lady Raiders secure wins in three out of four fiercely competitive games in that tournament, giving Roane State the best start to the season. RSCC now leads the region in standings (as of August 29, 2024), with an overall record of 3-1.

"Haley is a great leader and one of the best setters in the nation," said Steve Dallman, head coach of the Lady Raiders. "I respect her volleyball skills and totally trust her leadership on and off the court. This is a well-deserved honor."

Roane State Volleyball is traveling to Florida this week to compete in the Pensacola State Invitational starting August 30, 2024. The team's next home match will be against Bryan College on September 11, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. ET.
